her name is ramona, named after a gypsy in spain, apparently, as her father an anthropologist and there, studying them, while she was , well, created, shall we say

oh yes, i found a mathematical whiz with published poetry, of gypsy name, oddly enough, she now sings soprano in her choir, and carmen is a mezzo, but then carmen, was, a girl to be avoided

her choir are singing at royal festival hall later this year, it is all very very radio 3, but she seems a radio 4 fan, which is rather odd

here is a painting,by turner, based on a poem, by byron

Congrats milord on having such an astute consort.

I think I need a Turner fix ahead of the London dinge.Must divert down Millbank with bits ofextra time available from next week. Shifting between jobs almost complete and significant progress in detente for clients dealing with officialdom this week. May even get time to move gaff.

Just now delighted to hear piece by my new friend John Holland on R3,and the band of my acquaint on v good form. Too modest to mention it at the weekend. Its rather filmic and kaleidoscopic stylistically but v good with it imho. It's called Green Sky and follows the Halle Enigma andNight Waves promo on Perf on 3 LA.

Had a lovely walk in the park, got chatting with a guitar teacher who works 4 days a week and loves that situation, also bumped into ray mears doing a photo shoot for bovril, thanked him for mentioning grey owl on his tv program and he said the most important thing he said was 'we are part of nature, not in charge of it', superb day.

oh,also got some nice things from m&s so when tired out partner arrives from paris, late tonight, she has a lovely breakfast option and things 'in' so no need to waste time shopping, which is an evil !

"...It's a lovely day today,
so whatever you have to do
You've got a lovely day to do it in: that's true!
But if you've got something that must be done,
And it can only be done by one,
I guess there's nothing more to say...
except it's a lovely day for saying "It's a lovely day"

Thank you kitty, what a lovely poem that is. I shall read it again when I don't feel so happy and it will make me happy.

Pure happiness:

Waking up in my own bed, watching the first rays of sunshine lighting the room, followed by a much

anticipated long hot bath after two weeks of showers & Greek plumbing!

I've had a very happy day.

Welcome back, Janthefan.
It is usually good to go somewhere and it is good to come back.

I hope you liked your time in Greece.

Welcome home Jan.  Cheesy

I agree it's great to go away for a while, but so lovely to come home.
