Mary, the butterflies are so beautiful. I never saw anything like this before.

Jonathan, do you have pictures of your shells?

Hi t-p,
Yes, sort of - the ones on my website are all mine and I also have some others but none of these are of my most recent acquisitions!  I don't know if you've seen my website but here is the url: www.welshells.co.uk.  More pictues will follow as I eventually plan to have pictures of everything and save it on my new huge hard drive that I got last month.

Those shells are very nice, Jonathan. I loved the one on p. 6 it says. It has unusual shape.

Some of those who know me away from the board are already aware that I have something of a fixation with a particular stand of trees not far from where I live, and that ever since I first discovered them over a year ago in the late snows, the cameras and I have visited them over and again in all seasons and all weathers.

Today was supposed to be terrible here, with cloud off the sea - the haar - all day, but although the Kingdom of Fife (across the Tay from us) was shrouded in mist, we had bright warm sun from mid-morning till late. My trees deserved a visit...

I love your trees, Ron Dough. I think trees gives you their energy if you visit them. May be they like visitors. I think of trees like people. Your trees are very nice. They have a good company and they are not lonely (though trees can be lalone too). These trees know each others from childhood. They give happiness to eachother and passers by.

Here they are again, t-p, taken with a long lens from quite some distance at sunset last autumn.

This is similar like studies of Monet with Hay. He was fascinated with different light. It is interesting that our reaction to the same object is different even with the same light.
The second picture is like etching. It is very beautiful. The sky is beuatiful too and the sun.

They are indeed excellent photos. There is a poster somewhere - maybe someone has it - which show 52 photos of a tree: it is called something like A Year in the Life of a Tree. One picture taken every week from the same spot. I really must get a copy of that.

(Maybe it's the work of Ron Dough  Wink)
