I wanted to post a wall. I thought this is the wall that people climb. I saw this kind of wall when I was in Durham, in the center of the town. It was kind of pedestrian area and children were climbing it. It is a climbing wall. Here is another wall:

Ah yes! It's in Millenium Square outside the Gala theatre. TP's been in Durham while I've been there! Do you know anyone over here? I've occasionally wondered if you've met a friend of mine.

I have no idea who they are either - just that some of them are in a state often associated with Keith Floyd!

With Andy's last pic in mind (the worm), see if this rings any bells for anyone:

Oh, they were Heinrich and Elisabet von Herzogenberg, both close friends of Brahms (especially the latter, with whom there was a large exchange of correspondence). He was a composer and conductor, she was a pianist.

hh, may be I do know your friend. He is from Cork I think. Once I turn pages for him. He has a friend here, conductor here. I think this friend of yours is learning Russian and he is of Polish origins (at least the name is Polish). Sometimes he writes articles in music magazine (I only read the more popular one here in Ireland). Did I guess right? Why do they come out during rain and then die
