He also keeps his inkwell there.
Cheers

I think most of this people that are stuck in Russian subway are grumpy.

Sorry, A. I just click with the left side of a mouse and paste them with the right. May be your mouse is not working?

I love this violin player, A. I am in service business. I have to please students, not teach them.

Yes t-p - indeed! I well remember in my own student days how "being taught" was for me a pleasure. But I also recall in later life how my own teaching OF students was quite separate from any pleasure they felt. Such is "life" and "progress"!

I feel that students don't appreciate their teacher. And then often no matter how much one tries some students donot respond, donot like music, etc. I am often heart broken. And then they grow up or move on. And then most of the students don't have commitment for the instrument, take on too many activities etc.
Some teachers are lucky, good students come to them. It takes so much energy to make interesting conncetion and try to fire student's imagination. I am exhasted so often after one lesson. Often I don't know why I am continue to do it.

I am sure you continue to do it, as all good teachers do - for the delight of seeing the fire catch when a student develops a real enthusiasm to learn. That sense of "passing the torch" when a student starts to pursue investigations by themselves as well as seeking you out for further advice and opinion surely makes it all worthwhile, no matter how exhausting the majority of the task.

No, I'm not a complete idiot. I'm only a halfwit. In fact I'm actually a catfish.

Thank you Kitty. I only want to pass the tourch and should not put my own ambitions and desires. Like always ego gets on the way.
Thank you for your support.

It is time for me to rant. My (step)-daughter can be the sweetest child you would wish for, until she doesn't get her way. I am expected to taxi her and boyfriend around regardless of road conditions, weather, traffic etc. and in her opinion I "drive like a wuss".  Angry

She thinks she has a God-given right to take over the basement as their apartment without paying any rent, and grumbles about paying for gas to have me drive them, never mind paying me for taxi.
