Jan, I have been spending the past week in the endlessly entertaining and inventive company of a gastric bug. Oh what larks we have had ! Anyway, it`s buglered off now, so I`m back. If I were you I`d hang onto my £4.16 and study the financial pages closely for the appearance of the Garnett Index. The FT will go `phut` and GEORGE GARNETT WILL BECOME MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE ! I may then consider investing the £2.4s.6d that I have stored in a sock underneath my mattress |

Thanks to Fabuleux Millie not doing quite what I asked her to do in the 4.45 at Lingfield, the wad under my mattress isn't as lumpy as it was earlier today  (Not to worry, Alison.
