Shocked I had one of those bunnykins bowls for my Sugar Puffs when I was little. It's suddenly lost all its innocence now.  Sad  Cheesy

There was one of those "very Radio 4" short documentary programmes about them a little while back. IIRC the artist was a nun who declined to accept any payment for them. (Have I got that right?)

[Edit: Ah yes, here she is, Barbara Vernon:  http://www.independent.co.uk/news/obituaries/sister-mary-barbara-bailey-730278.html It was her Reverend Mother in the Convent apparently who banned any payment being made.]

Oh no! I've let my tea go cold!
This is not shaping up to be an auspicious morning.

Sorry to ruin bunnykins for you George, innocence, once lost, cannot be regained.

The what? Why would I want one of them?
Actually I don't have room for one in my flat, and it's still in Durham. I have mixed feelings about them especially about microwaved tea.

Ho yes. My teddy bear was a panda. Called 'Panda'. Terribly attached to him I was. He didn't come with me up to Edinburgh though, so he's migrated back to my old bedroom.

Oh, dear.    I can see where we are going.   Back to the squirrels and bears of Jimmy Porter and Alison in 'Look Back in Anger'.     I always blamed John Osborne for motivating Martha & George in Albee's 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf' a few years later.    Grin

I got rid of my [ancient and huge] microwave a few years ago for the same reason and immediately found that I needed it all the time.  I've lost count of the number of chicken breasts I've defrosted in slightly hygiene-risky ways. (Behave, people).

I once wrote a short parody of LBIA consisting of lines from the play but re-ordered to make it sound like a snap-shot of sado-masochism/cannibalism in the household.  I'm not sure why...

(Sorry - that was neither grumpy nor a rant, but it was quite old.)

I use mine almost every day (mainly for reheating, as I batch-cook a couple of times a week to stock the freezer with "ready meals").  However, I do regret spending a three-figure sum in order to get one which could also grill, roast, balance a ball on its nose, turn somersaults etc.  I thought it might be useful as my cooker only has a single oven - but I've had it 18 months now and only ever used it for things which a £30 Tesco-ownbrand one could have done just as well, probably while taking up quite a bit less space on my worktop.

Not read either I'm afraid!  But I might now...

It does seem that my reading list gets longer and longer the more time I spend on the net.  The Singing Neanderthals arrived yesterday, which I got a grand 18 pages into before I was summoned to my neighbour's house to watch a hilarious programme about a cat that "played the piano".  Did anyone else see it?  They really bled it dry, it could quite easily have been a 5 minute programme consisting of "Look, this cat does that to get attention, it's copying the pupils, ho ho ho."  End.

But no.  They had to put short loops of it into a dance track and play it to a club of people, who then seemed to conclude that, regardless of the layers of drums and stuff that they'd smothered it with, no it was definitely the cat's bit that made them want to "get up and dance."  Cat-genius.  Obviously.  Irrefutable.
