Appointment booked.
Have to go into work this afternoon for our programme board and then a base-touching meeting for the festival.

We do not recommend the book Madame Pianiste since reading it - or at least more than a page or two - could not conceivably be a pleasure for any one at all.
I fear that she has been driven away by diagnoses of hypochondria.  WHICH I THINK IS A BIT OF A PITY AND WAS RATHER INSENSITIVE ON THE PART OF THOSE WHO DID IT

(I understand totally that it was a not unreasonable possibility, but such things can be quite hurtful if they're just tossed out there, whether they be true or false (which nobody here could have any real idea of in any event))

Or was it tough love?  I don't know.

(I'd feel a bit of a coward if I didn't say something about this.)

Never fear, incs. She is at this very moment posting something in the Ulysses thread. It'll appear soon.

Edit. Well she was when I looked just then. She's disappeared now Huh

It's the name of the grumpy and violent woodsman in Valkure. I had to try very hard to persuade Tony Gilbert that it wasn't a musical portrait of him!
Poor man. He had a tough night, what with PMD writing him a trombone piece called Judas Mercator ...

(I was watching Tony actually. He didn't applaud that one. Roll Eyes Cheesy Undecided)

She posted it just now.
And she did suffered with above mentioned hypochondria for the last two years. It turn out that she has this infection undetected for at least that long. My doctor friend was embarrassed because I did complain to her.
Now I have to go throgh a long treatment and will not know for a while if this case of hypochondria will finally disappear from my life.

Thank you for all concerned. I am really trying to get your attention. This is why I am telling you how poorly I am. This is how scheming and manipulative I am.  we all Bulgarians are like that, you know.

Also I may go to the hospital (try to make me to go to the doctor, not to mention the hospital) tomorrow to attract some more medical personel with unnecassary operation just to get my high of a lot of attention and pity.

Beside, if there are such nurses in mental institution patience have my sympathy. The treatment you get from this nurses can make realatively healthy (minus some complexes and bad nerves) person to be admited to above mention places.

As to the sympathetic and caring lady (who is a friend of everybody, but could not give a dumb about me) I have nothing to say. I will have to call my doctor (of should I call hers?).

t-p,

From someone who has always been friendly and sympathetic (I hope):

You can't expect everyone to like you equally on this board. It's the same for everyone else. Some people like me and some people don't like me, and I accept that as the way the world works.

But recently you have been posting very very often, and sometimes you don't really seem to have anything to say, and sometimes you are just talking to one other member, which is actually quite rude. I don't think you're manipulative or scheming, but I think you need to take some time on your own to think about:
- why this board is important to you, and
- why you have to post so often (especially when it's about your health, which as you have said yourself, none of us can know about or help you with), and
- whether you would earn the respect of more members of the forum if you could be a little bit more considerate, and work out what you want to say before posting messages.

Best wishes, as always,

Point well taken.
I suggest some other friendly ladies (and men) should consider doing the same.
I have been precisely that doing for the more than a day now.

Best wishes to you too,
T-P

As far as I can tell , and I can't keep up with every single thread that she has posted on, but the ones I have seen have all been about health... or lack of it.. I am sorry but it gets tedious. I know it is t-p  Roll Eyes    Roll Eyes  and we are not ( for some unearthly reason ) allowed to comment if not truly sympathetic and kind, but I , for one , am certain she is a hypochondriac and it is tiring.

I hope I'm sympathetic, t-p. I think we should be able to post about what we want, unless it's offensive.

The temperature here has been rather heated recently for reasons that I don't need to spell out. Such events often result in the Board and it's Members feeling a bit 'edgy' and unsettled and it's all too easy to perhaps react more strongly than one might normally. tp is clearly upset that she has either been misunderstood or not supported, although as tinners pointed out there are limitations as to what advice lay people can give regarding health related matters. However, tp obviously hasn't been 'driven away', but she has given voice to how she feels at this moment. Something that we all do here from time to time.

Perhaps a little 'chill' time for us all?

I would hesitate to diagnose anyone over this or any other forum even if were qualified to to so.  My observations on hypochondria were addressed to Mary Chambers in reply to her post and they were gleaned from experiences with family, friends and neighbours.  If the cap fits, then by all means wear it, but they were purely observations in an anecdotal form.

I think we should start afresh.  Yesterday was an awful, fraught day on the MB and nerves seem to be frayed.  Let's all make our way to the Happy Room instead.
