I popped into the new chatroom (after installing updated Javascript) earlier, no-one there. I'm wondering if the fact of needing the most advanced Java is putting people off - could we try reverting to the old chatroom, would people want to come along then? Or did I just pick a bad time?

It did put me off a bit. I probably did something wrong but installing the new Java as required seemed to slow everything everything else down on my pc so in the end I deleted it again (probably unnecessary and me not Java).

I don't understand anything anyway. I have a box instead of a chatting room, but I have to retire now to be ready for tomorrow.

Ian,

I`d be happy with the old chatroom. Although I have Java when, what I imagine was the `security box` appeared,  it gave me all sorts of rather alarming messages e.g. `the Security Certificate is issued by a company that is not trusted`, `The Security Certificate has expired or is not yet valid`. And who is the Phillipe Detourney who was mentioned?

Didn`t feel happy with it all, so I didn`t take it any further.

You will be happy to learn that I now can do /leave properly. I was obviously too impatient before! Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I tried to get back on but it said my password wasn't valid... as I only use one on these boards etc, I gave up after several attempts ( even using my other , rarely used, passwords.

Ah well!!
