(though it's a little bit salty because I slipped while measuring it...).
Shouldn't that affect the rising properties of the yeast, hh? Too much salt tends to kill it before it can do its job properly.

Doesn't seem to have done anything of the sort.
It's quite nice actually.

Supper tonight - A couple of chubby not-so-little sardines (they're probably pilchards) grilled and served with salad containing a healthy dollop of black olives, cherry tomatoes and torn basil leaves. Well, it would have been if I hadn't have dropped one of the sardines on the floor during the journey from grill to plate Cry Still, there's the other intact little fishy. I was eating early tonight because due to feelings of serious hunger. Typical! Roll Eyes

Sounds a healthy meal Mort sardines, plenty of Omega-3, a little heavy on the cholesterol and salt re the olives though doncha think?

Chez Ants, strictly comfort food.  Having been served Notice by the Council on my wildlife garden encroaching on the highway just spoken to my tree people.  I get the quote tomorrow  Shocked  So it is ham, eggs and chips.  So there!  Tomorrow will be healthy but tonight I will sin.

I never understood why olive oil is good, olives are bad?

But then they said eggs were bad, now they are good!

I think, whatever your body tells you to eat then go with it.  I am sure that is right, whether for nutritional or emotional reasons what you crave is right for you.

Who can deny the emotional comfort of cauliflower or macaroni cheese or risotto?  If you are strung out a cold salad of mozzarella and basil with a drizzle of balsamic ain't going to hit the spot is it?

A dish of mashed buttery potatoes are not to be beaten when affairs of the heart encroach.

Ah, interesting.  What are members' comfort foods?

I know you don't mean that Martle, but believe me, in the right Welsh hands you would be singing Aberystwyth whilst downing a bucket of Pelicans and a quart of Rev. James!  Cheesy

At every one of these [classical] concerts in England you will find rows of weary people who are there, not because they really like classical music, but because they think they ought to like it. (Shaw, Don Juan in Hell)
