You're all so lovely! Thank you!!! Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

Just treated myself to (scores):

Altenberg-Lieder
Improvisation II sur Mallarmé
The Viola in my Life (2)
O King
Voci per viola sola e due gruppi stumentali Smiley Smiley
A deux mains (Kagel): I don't know it, but it was only a fiver so I thought I'd add it to the pile

I must be looking old at last, because the guy in Schott's asked was I a lecturer, rather than the usual question am I a student. Or maybe I've just acquired an air of gravitas.

Now, shall I listen to Voci or shall I watch one of the Godard films that came in the post on Friday??

Thank you all again!!! Smiley

 Happy birthday, tinners.

              "We shall never be younger
                than we are today"

Exquisitely sung by Josephine Barstow on the EMI recording of "Kiss me Kate."

Taxi drivers have started leaping out of their cabs to open doors and help with any luggage. They never used to do that. I don't know whether that deserves a  Sad or a  Grin.

Happy t_i_n Birthday

I believe "tin" is the 10th anniversary but you must be a bit older than that.  Wink

I was mortified a couple of years ago when a young lad on a crowded bus stood up and offered me his seat. Sad

And here's another birthday, Richard Barrett (and I have reason to believe it might also be that of Veronika Lenz, too.)

Very best wishes, r: hope things aren't quite as hectic for you now.

Richard,

Very best wishes on your birthday.  Get any interesting socks for your sock drawer?  Marsupials?

Hope whatever happens today it's inspiring and helps being more oevres from your pen.
