I use Firefox for everything as well, but there are some websites which don't want to play at all.
Incidentally, I've found some websites that just seem to be allergic to me no matter which browser I use.

Depends on which external peripherals you have. At the moment, Vista has a lot of incompatibilities with various drivers, which will probably be fixed in time, but certainly not all yet. Otherwise, I have come rather to like Vista.
