Has anyone here ever put something up for sale on e bay? I had a look at the site earlier (e bay virgin me) and nearly lost the will to live. The sheer volume of categories within categories is rather daunting. Huh

Hi Mort,
Yes, it's actually quite simple - just find something like what you are selling and do something similar!  If it's a CD or something, you might be able to find the track details etc. via the eBay database which you access when you are on the selling screen.  If you get stuck, let me know and I'll try and help.

Gee, thanks chaps Smiley  I may well have to call you in on that offer of help. I think that first I will need to get a estimate of price for the goods before I venture into the ring. Gulp!

Good evening and goodnight, all! I am pooped from a very stressful day's work, more stressful than I had anticipated on sauntering out this morning, manbag in hand (NOT!), due to various young people clamouring for my professional attention. And plenty of other things.

I leave you, till the morrow, with this snap, anonymously forwarded to me earlier today, of Mort desporting herself in the environs of Regents Park, en picnic a la mode. The tiger prawns with chilli dip is, sadly, out of shot.  Grin

A,
That's my grandfather! Pretty Victorian and strict, don't you think? Here's a shot of HIS father's back...

Drat! That has now triggered a serious yen for some of the little critters. Never a flippin` fishmonger around when you need one at 7.50 in the morning! It`ll have to be Marmite soldiers then. Grin

Mary if you're about - did you listen to Peter Grimes on Discovering Music last Sunday?  I thought it was very good.  You can get it on Listen Again if you missed it.

Hello, Milly - yes, I did listen, and I enjoyed it very much. I think I've heard it before at some time.

Sorry about your scam problems. It always amazes me that there are so many nasty, cheating people out there. I tend to believe that people are good, but I'm beginning to wonder.

good advice

"Mr Holden, who has two sons aged 70 and 60, puts his longevity down to porridge for breakfast and "remembering to keep breathing".

He said it was also important not to worry about anything, do as little work as possible, and go on lots of holidays. "

Isn't that a great story, Lord B.... a lesson for us all. I'm half way to 110, I wonder if I'll get there !

My Grandmother was 98 when she shuffled off, and she said bananas were the elixir of life.

Some people say have a lots of holidays for long life, other say you have to be busy and active, take another hobby, memorize poems so that your brain cells are moving.
Then there is another option with bananas. There are people suggesting wine drinking (in moderation).

May be they should waffle more for longievity.
