Wonder if anyone else has had this problem?

When I sync my ipod, I get a message that several tracks could not be copied, because their 'files' could not be located: all of the tracks in question were downloads off emusic - and they have a ! symbol next to them in itunes.

Do I assume that they are now gone for good and that I'll have to subscribe to emusic again in order to get them back? Or is there some 'magic' way I can locate the files and make my life complete again?
