I saw it, Opi. Accompanied by some champers and smoked salmon Smiley I`m not a Strauss groupie but I find it rather a fun way to greet the New Year but, for some reason, it didn`t seem to hit the spot this time. I really don`t know why. Although the `football` sequence made me smile - it was so camp! Grin

Watching in style, eh, Mort? Wink  By "football sequence", you mean the dancing? That was pretty camp! I preferred the business with the whistle, scarves, and yellow and red cards. Cheesy

i really enjoyed it, in particular pretre is big enough to realise that the orchestra don't need him there, and let them just get on with a lot of it.
it was also nice seeing bits of vienna i recognised; can't wait to go back to the albertina again!
