Heard a bit about this on In Tune earlier and I'm LAing to find out more.

Anyone know anything about him? I don't.

The CBSO web site says: "Andris Nelsons enthralled the Orchestra when he came to conduct a private concert at Town Hall, Birmingham in early September 2007"

Sounds like they decided to try him out before they bought him!  Wink
