agreed! although the layout is not as good as it should be. they should have angled the seats at the sides... it's really uncomfortable having to angle your head the whole time...

I agree. I only 'discovered' Wigmore Hall last autumn and have particularly enjoyed the Nash Ensemble's series of English chamber music, linked by works of Elgar, called Realms of Gold. I shall be there for their next outing on Saturday:

preceded by an early evening events which is also very attractive:

The main concert from Wigmore Hall this evening was recorded for Radio 3, to be broadcast on Wednesday evening.

Bax - Harp Quintet
Vaughan Williams - Five Mystical Songs
Butterworth - Love Blows as the Wind Blows
Elgar - String Quartet

Christopher Maltman joined the Nash Ensemble - a beautiful evening's music-making. As c would have said at the other place, I commend it to all on 3!  Cheesy

I have a record on Nash ensemble. I love it. They are playing Schubert Trout quintet.
