Oh dear. Sympathetic Grrrr, Mort. We did look out for you but no Mort was to be seen Sad.

Getting carried away on the gun-deck of our spam control module, no doubt: once she's in that command-post, it's very difficult to shift her: an extraordinary dedication to duty.

And it smelt new, as well.

I had a healthy walk back home afterwards.

The developer is a nutcase, but heart very much in the right place.

I wonder if you mean Peter Millican? He used to be an optician in Wirral, and his brother still is - a friend of mine goes to him.

I do indeed, Mary.
As George and Don B have already reported, a crack r3ok reconnaisance team today cased the new King's Place joint so you don't have to and sampled the wares on offer in Hall 1. Acoustically very good, we thought; but George was of the opinion that the building as a whole was decidedly 'pre-crunch' - some pretty naff design features and trendy retro-opulent on the whole. It remains to be seen whether it offers a credible alternative chamber venue to the Wigmore (with which it is avowedly in competition). It certainly offers a credible performance venue for that part of town.

A delight to encounter both GG and The Don, whom I had not expected to see. What clubbable chaps they both are!  Smiley

And no details on the website as yet (or I can't find them anyway) but we seem to be promised ELISION at some point in the nearish future. Smiley
Indeed. Don't think it's anything like the full complement, but the redoubtable Mr R.H aynes and friends will be performing music by the North of England's newest composing emigre Liza Lim as well as the playful notes of Messrs EnnoP oppe and FrancoD onatoni on 25 November. I'll be there, quite possibly for my first sight of the venue (sorry I couldn't make it this morning).

It's indeed not the full complement:

...and I'm not sure who this Enno Pope is supposed to be!

I won't be there alas but you will have a chance to see my better half in action. (And, er, no, I don't mean Richard H. Nor do I mean Tristram.)

You sure?

Glad in any case to see that the process of taking England by storm is well underway.

You sure?
Am I sure Richard H isn't my better half or am I sure my better half will be playing in the gig?

Actually, either way I'm pretty sure although I suppose I'm just a tick surer about the first than about the second.
