Anyone else planning to attend member Powell's gig on Thursday? Janis Medins (1890-1966) is a new name to me, but I would expect that if Jonathan has chosen to play him, he's worth hearing.

And he certainly was! This was a recital which started fairly soberly and became more flamboyant as time went on - culminating in the Grigory Ginzburg version of Rozycki's Casanova and Horowitz's preposterous version of the Greg Rusedski Rakoczi March. A terrific evening.

Is that open to the public? it's not advertised by the Conservatoire.

I wish I could! Unfortunately it clashes with something else and for various reasons the other one got my first choice ...

I would love to hear the 'Concord' Sonata played by JP some time soon though! Please do programme it again in the UK, Jonathan. Kiss
