I occasionaly offer advice about the value of 78rpm records, to attic hunters, charity shops etc. A nice 'thank you' is all I expect in return, but I recently advised on the value of the Adolph Busch set of Brandenburgs (1935), and yikes look at this response:

John. That's a really helpful reply. Thanks for taking the time to answer. May I offer you a ticket to our
next recital as thanks - Tuesday 23 September at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly (7.30) Caroline Haffner
plays Bach and Chopin 'Le Piano fait son Cinema'.
Jane

I wondered who Caroline Haffner is; well she has an interesting CV

Mind you (or mind me  Wink ) I'm not keen on Chopin recitals and not very keen on hearing JS Bach played on the pianoforte, and it's on a Tuesday, so could be a polite no thank you......  Undecided
