I'm pleased to announce the second Sonic Fusion Festival in Edinburgh from 18/09/08 to 28/09/08.

Just over a week's worth of events including music by Schaeffer and Stockhausen, portraits of Gerhard Stäbler, Kunsu Shim, Elliott Carter and Nigel Osborne, and new music by Edinburgh composers Katrina Burton, Stephen Davismoon, John Hails and Iain Matheson.

Actually two new pieces by hh figure in the programme, and he has finished neither (though he's getting there with one of them and is looking forward to working with the performer on the sketches on Monday).

If anyone's in Edinburgh and fancies any of the programme it would be great to see you.

28th September concert looks like a must for me - thanks for the heads-up, hh.

So, time for a north-of-the-border mini meetup, perhaps?

That looks like an interesting programme - apart from the new works I'd also be happy to hear the vintage electronic pieces and Kevin Bowyer doing Livre du Saint Sacrement. But I can't because I shall be down under.

I've heard some of hh's music before and can commend it to all on 3 (or elsewhere Wink )

Not likely I'll get to Edinburgh, though Sad

Livre du Saint Sacrement was a wonderful experience.
Kevin Bowyer is a rather good performer.

The other performance that will stay with me (so far) was that of Mabel Kwan on Sunday afternoon, especially her performance of one of Kunsu Shim's Intermezzi and Alex Hunter's For Mabel. I'm writing her a piece now Grin.
