PLEASE COULD I HAVE YOUR HELP

My Piano Trio  colleagues and I are a little fed up of doing loads of rehearsals and then doing only one performance of  the works we have put so much work into.

We'd like to do several performances of each programme (possibly mixing and matching), and that means scheduling concerts at several venues that are not too near each other.  Our problem is that we don't know of any suitable ones.

We're looking for venues
  • with a decent piano
  • which don't cost the earth to hire/where we would be able to cover our expenses
  • get audiences
  • would be pleased with a Piano Trio of our standard*

* 'Our standard' is in the upper end of that nebulous cuspy area between 'amateur' and 'professional'.  There are commercial recordings I have heard which are shockingly worse than us, but equally there are private recordings of us which have elements I would rather see on the editing floor......!

So, please could I have your help?

Do you know of any venues in your neck of the woods which would fit the bill?  Anywhere where you would like to hear a Piano Trio?

Would be lovely to hear from you.

Thanks

It's just a thought, but why not contact some of the music societies in Bucks, Berks, Hants and Oxon? I've been to some good programmes in Wantage, for example. And why not try some of the smaller festivals, too?

Ooh, nice one Ron.

I'm aware of this site for finding music societies in teh South East, which will be an excellent start.  http://www.makingmusic-southeast.org.uk/soceities.asp?uid=a

Does anyone have anything from farther afield?

Very much further afield: http://www.emusicscotland.co.uk/index.html might be a start.

Ah, ta.  And I've just found this which seems to cover pretty much the whole country....

Anyway, that's a great start.  But which places would you like to hear a Piano Trio?
