I thought we had one of these somewhere, but since I've been unable to locate it just now, and a member has asked whether it's possible to advertise tickets which can't be used, this seems as good a place as any to start a new one.

So, if you find you suddenly have concert or recital tickets that you can't use for some reason, and you'd like to offer them to other board members, please feel free to post the fact here: any further discussion can then take place via PM.

Thanks, Ron Smiley

I'm unlikely to be able to use my ticket for this recital tonight (Tchaikovsky/Rachmaninov/Medtner - details: https://www.barbican.org.uk/music/event-detail.asp?ID=6760).  It's front row of the balcony, and should have a good view of both performers.  Full price £15, but I got it for a discounted £12, so would be happy with that.  (There are still a few seats available, but only at the top prices).

Could do a handover in Covent Garden late this afternoon, or meet you there if necessary.

NB: I am advertising this at work, too, so it may not hang around for long.

I've temporarily reset my email to my work address, so please use that to contact me, as I may not be able to get onto the site when required.

If you don't sell it,  you can return the ticket to the box office ( before the performance starts) and get a refund - less an admin charge. The Barbican has this facility, unlike the RFH. The RFH only has a returns policy if the concert is sold out. I found this out a few weeks ago.

I collect all my Barbican tickets on the night..... If i can't go, I just call the box office, and a credit is issued. Its very simple. The credit has to be used within 6 months though.

The Barbican really is a good place. Easy free street parking and FREE Programs Smiley

I will be there tonight

Not within 24 hours of the concert, though, is what they've always told me.  Oh well, will try ...

That's strange as I've twice returned a ticket to the RFH box office - rather than a refund, I was given a credit note valid for several months.

The RFH is the one that does returns and credit vouchers. Currently I have two vouchers waiting for their moment; they're valid for one year.

Hi,

Well the RFH would not give me a credit for my ticket for the Budapest festival Orchestra Ticket

I personally went to the box office the day before.

the day before

Ah, that's why - it has to be received by the Box Office at least 48 hours before the start time.  Smiley

I have a very good Front Stalls ticket available for this concert --

Ravel Suite, Ma mere l'oye (Mother Goose)
Chopin Piano Concerto No.1
Stravinsky The Rite of Spring

Charles Dutoit conductor
Rafal Blechacz piano

Any offers? It cost £34.20 Sad
