With various forms of 'new' music supporting charities or overseas development work (e.g.Live8) it is nice to hear Grammy-award winning British conductor, Joseph Cullen (London Symphony Chorus) speaking out. He is putting his batton where his mouth is and partnering with charity CARE International in a performance of St Matthew Passion at the Barbican on Sunday, 8th April.

How much real change will ensue I don't know but I'll be looking forward to the warm glow that follows.

There is a press release here
