The only problem I've heard of it causing is if it needs more power than your computer has - I believe the site says something like desktop computers older than 4 years or laptops older than 2 might not be able to run it. But then at worst you just uninstall it again; maybe if your computer's getting on a bit don't try to run GE for the first time while you have a large important unsaved document open... Wink

I had to uninstall it from my (one year old) laptop - it caused lots of problems. Shame, it was great fun.

Anyone here tried to get directions from London to New York?  Wink

Go on - it's good for the punchline!

One of the reasons I bought a new computer last year (XP instead of 98) was to have the ability to use Google Earth. Unfortunately, the places that I particularly wanted to have a good peer at are those that do not have very good resolution (not sure if that's the right word) so I don't use it as much as I thought I would. However, now that I have my new super-smart flat, wide screen (I've probably mentioned this already!) I suppose I might be able to see things a little more clearly.

The BBC website is having a lot problems. At the moment, I'm listening to Norman Lebrecht's interview with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. I found this interview because I used the listen back option for the Kurt Masur interview from last week. There's no direct link to the Fischer-Dieskau interview!!

That's a pretty lame excuse for listening to the egregious Norm, Pim.
