All good stuff I'm sure - just cut-and-posted into the wrong times, with little regard for the listeners.

Why does the evening concert start at 7pm? I haven't read a single word of praise for this, only brickbats. Why isn't it live? Why is the interval talk at 11pm? Why is CotW stuck right in the middle of the schedule (I wanted it moved so I could hear it, but not there!) Why does Late Junction start so late that hardly anyone can listen to it? Why has Mixing It gone? Why is Kershaw still there? Why two-and-a-half hours of solid jazz on a Friday night?

I could eat alphabetti spaghetti and s&%# a better schedule.

I wouldn't say that. A lot of listeners asked for something like this schedule (including me).

I would say in order to fit in all the other things listeners asked for.

Well, you are reading one now  Wink

That was all explained in e-mails....

It's a good slot for me, not too late.

You've answered the question yourself. Hardly anyone wants to listen to it.

Why has Mixing It gone?

Not had a good answer to that. Although I rarely listened I certainly feel sorry for Mark Russell.

Why is Kershaw still there?

Don't know.

It's a lot better than having jazz scattered all over the pace, IMO.

I'd love to see you try!
NOT!

heh heh, cheers Gaby,

Can anyone tell me when some real live music is to be broadcast. I've looked through the schedules and all I can find is "recorded live"

That's not the same thing ! Angry Angry Angry

I believe there was a live lunchtime concert today... but I agree - recorded live is NOT the same thing at all - in fact, when I have a bit more time I'll recount a true tale about a R3 deferred relay...

I also have to say I agree with Gabrielle about the timing of Performance on 3. It reminds me of those irritating summer evenings when you've forgotten there's a late Prom and so miss most of the first part of the earlier one...

Hmm - there's a thought - are all the Proms going to start at 7pm now?

Blimey Byron, make your mind up. Last week you wanted him to be fired!

If he was world president he wouldn't be R3 controller...

(and look carefully at LB's "bottom line"!)
