For those of you outside the UK who would like to listen to the LOD files you can forget about it and save some time. Starting with Prom 68 BBC has deactivated that service for international users. Here is an E-Mail exchange between the BBC and me on the subject:

Me:
I took your advice and tried the iPlayer page, and notice that Prom 67 is the last one listed there, although it's hard to tell since they are still arranged in a somewhat haphazard order. I also tried to access the LOD files for Prom 69 via the link on the Program page, with the same result as Prom 68. I visited the iPlayer message board also, and see that others are getting the same result. Perhaps, if you want these files to be accessible, you may want to return to coding them the way you were prior to Prom 68, as those programs still seem to be available.
BBC:
Thank you for your email regarding BBC iPlayer.
I understand from reading your email that you would like to know when you will be able to use BBC iPlayer from outside the UK. BBC programmes on BBC iPlayer Beta are not available to international users at present because BBC iPlayer is funded by the UK licence fee.
We are hoping to expand BBC iPlayer to international users availability via BBC Worldwide at a future date. When this happens, you'll be able to access the service internationally. In the meantime, many BBC News programmes are available for international viewers at

FYI, I was able to access the LOD files through Prom 67, but starting with Prom 68 they have been unavailable to me. Apparently the live feed is still available for those who have the time and inclination to sit in front of their computers for 2-3 hours at the designated time to listen to the last 7 Proms.
So, this looks like this is the end of a beautiful friendship, and I will have to be content with sites like Radio Swiss Classic, who broadcast classical music (no folk, show tunes, sitar music, etc. and I have not yet heard a Stockhausen or Messiaen) at 128 kbps 24/7.
