 This week's broadcasts from the Lucerne Festival look very good, indeed perhaps the best afternoons  on 3 for a long time. Is this not the sort of programme we ex-posters from the other place have been calling for.--- What's going on? BTW Bruckner Quartet, playing now, fits like a glove into the Late Romantic  sound-world of Schoenberg etc. Indeed the first movement sounds very like Mahler's  early unfinished Piano Quartet, beautiful.... Which came first?

Get the Lucerne Festival Orchestra over to the Proms, they are interested according to Stephen Everson in Prospect magazine.

They are touring the UK this August, so at lest one Proms appearance seems likely.
