Ok, first the bad news: Microsoft decided to deliver a security patch which needed a system restart during the duration of the recording: the good news, I'd set for a full 2GB period, and the cut-off happens after the GM8. In any case, a security back-up was captured from DAB to the Mac. I guess you need to PM me, eruanto....

Glad you can help, Ron. The download allowance, for this month, from my free YouSendIt account is now 66% used, so while I could post it there, I'd rather save the space for later. However, if all else fails ... .

Well, I installed the software today and the internet doesn't work. I've restored the computer to a point yesterday and all's OK. Any remedies...?

That's a b****r, isn't it? I assume you've got broadband. Surely the software for the TV isn't running all the time. Does the internet work with the software installed but no TV on? You could also have used uninstall in the control panel to revert to a previous state.

Yeh, broadband. The internet stubbornly refused to work until I did System Restore. Even when I unplugged the stick it still didn't work.

It's a bit late, eru, for me. Look at it tomorrow. One thing, though - you can't go on living in the past.  Embarrassed
