Couldn't resist posting here - no topics and no posts - until now!

There's a new BBC Programmes site which is in Beta at the moment http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes

One thing about it is that it has iCalendar format calendars that you can subscribe to in Sunbird, Outlook, Google Calendar etc.

see http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/radiolabs/2008/07/some_ical_views_onto_programme.shtml

I use Sunbird so I've been mucking about to see how useful these calendars are - I already set up certain programmes on Sunbird with alarms to remind me to record them.

If you want to have a play, try:

http://bbc.co.uk/radio3/programmes/schedules.ics
or
http://bbc.co.uk/radio4/programmes/schedules/fm.ics
or
http://bbc.co.uk/bbcfour/programmes/schedules.ics

Don't click on those links but use the urls to subscribe to the calendars - I've done so in Sunbird and Google Calendar.

I'm not convinced how useful this facility will be but it does no harm to try it.
