Time2 installed Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista the night before last, and yesterday morning had problems getting into Outlook. He did a System Restore, and all seemed fine, but he re-installed the Service Pack again overnight last night and this morning found the same problem.

I've googled a bit and found a couple of internet forums where people mention this problem, but there are other people on the threads in question saying they've had no such problem and being rather unhelpful about it. I'm wondering if it's something similar to the problem with Service Pack 3 on XP a few months back, which only affected users with non-Intel processors. Time2 has a Dell Inspiron laptop (5310 I think) with an AMD processor.

Any ideas on how to get Outlook working, other than simply uninstalling Service Pack 1? Is there a patch or something?
