After posting on the Grappelli thread (about Joe Venuti) I've been driving my missus nuts with 'my incessant whistling', so thought I'd give you lot a taste of my improvisation skills, more Venuti than Grappelli  Cheesy

name that tune!

From the show 'Oh, Lady Be Good' (not Um, Lady Be Good) the tune has the title 'Lady Be Good'    Wink

Cheers martle, I'm not so bad after all. By the way ask me to whistle again and it would be very different, well the middle section would be Smiley

Hmm, inclined to agree with Mart here. Listening to that has also reminded me of that thing that you played on your teeth, John?  What was it?

Mort,

Hmm, inclined to agree with Mart here.

'Lady Be Good' was one of the titles that Grappelli recorded with Menuhin, starts off very slow then takes off.

Oh that was from the Brandenburg No 3. If I say these silly things are more impressive than my recorder or my keyboard skills then you'll see why I would never put either of those on 'ere, not now anyway, my recorder playing reached it's peak around 1985 with Vivaldi's 'Four Seasons' and Thin Lizzy's 'The Boys Are Back In Town' Grin

Not sure GG was up to much, but hey that's a kick-ass quote.
