Its interesting how the Sesame Street version is less funny.

Still, I admit each version has it's own charm.

I wonder which came first.

Mr. King Kennytone and Mr. Mr. Improv are you going to revisit the other bored at some point?

Some cat once said that the difference between poetry and prose was the lines in poetry did not go all the way to the end of of the page. I was reminded of this when I saw a book of the pomes of Jack Kerouac in the local so called charity shoppe. Its actually a a second hand book shop charging quite high prices using the Oxfam logo. I was also reminded of the the Mr. Improv method of contributions which are poetic.

Here is a moving verse from the poet laureate

motion in an arabic direction. Falls off the page. as we must

See Derek Bailey's indispensable book Improvisation: its nature & practice. One of his contentions is that improvisation is the most natural way of doing music, which undoubtedly originated in this way. Quite revealing too about Gavin Bryars, after sitting on the fence, saying improvisation is nowhere, Johnny Dyani (without naming him) doesn't know what he's doing, improvisation is maybe all right after all.
Also revealing interviews with Ronnie Scott, Paco Peņa, Evan Parker, John Stevens, John Zorn, Viram Jasani & others. There used to be an extract from the TV series DB based on the book on you-tube, which might even lead to a full-length episode.
