I've always liked them myself. In fact some say I was responsible for discovering tham and propelling them to stardom.

There is a "Three Degrees" GEICO insurance commercial doing the rounds over here (the three ladies have been replaced by three gentlemen (The Four Tops becomes the Three Degrees?), one of whom seems at least a little uncertain of his lines and watches the teleprompter instead of the camera) which should be enshrined in the advertising Hall of Fame for its ability to induce cringing.

Edit: Dodo here couldn't remember that the performers are "The Pips" sans Gladys Knight.

No, I'm not a complete idiot. I'm only a halfwit. In fact I'm actually a catfish.

Richard Barrett was an American singer. He was born on July 13, 1933, and died on Thursday, August 3, 2006, of pancreatic cancer.

I must say, you're looking well, considering.

Well, he's a soul brother, man. KK makes me think of the likes of Stargard and The Jones Girls (brilliant orchestral arranger in one Dexter Wansel)., and, from Slough , The Rheumatics. After aspects of today I think I may start leaping about to some of this at least mentally.

I like the minimalist irony there. Holy Moly, those cats can sing, and lovely use of vibraphone in the arrangement,I'd forgotten how good it sounds. If only the`rest of bme Sarf`Lunnun sounded like this, bits of it do still.
