..............it might be a laugh to catch Wynton Marsalis "Live From Abbey Road" on More4 ( a well known youth tv channel ) He's propping up the bill beneath the Kooks and Muse. I suppose it could be worse, he might have been on Later and have to do a duet with Jools Holland.

Well, to answer my own post...having just caught up with this I can only say that Wynton makes as convincing a rapper as Debbie Harry did 25 years ago.

I think it was some kind of post Katrina rhetoric but Wynton getting down with the 'hood doesn't really work. He followed up with a very pleasant mainstream second number though.

The suggestion that Maestro Marsalis "rapped" is absurd. Stick to Vivaldi that's what I say.
