I like the you-tube features. The John Tchicai clip shows how much the sound of that 'Cadentia nova Danica' record on Polydor was due to the acoustics of the recording space.
What I find annoying is the way the clip of Cecil with the Art ensemble, potentially the most interesting of them all, keeps stopping & starting. Is this just my set-up? I do be thinking of finding another provider anyway.

yhep that's a great flippin storhy that is

captures so much of what we were doing
and how it all felt

and yes it is strange
that evan parker is now someone

and so many others are not

but i dont understand why anyone would
ever want to stop doing the music

it's the most incredible and relevant
experience one can have in these times

it is vital
to do it
and it fits so much
into the time
and the fabric of this time
they call now

Where have I read that story before? Is the narrator anonymous?
Good old Jamie Muir. What happened to him? I was listening to MIC not long ago; very nice.
(Gordon Cruickshank is now dead evidently.)

Ubu the articlee was by Robin Ramsay (?)
I landed on it because I'd been listenin to FICTIONS ~ a Company LP from 1977 that featured (though that'd be putting it a bit strongly) Ian Croall, who was a name I couldn't place ...

It's the LP where they read bits from Bailey's Improvisation booky wook (as they call 'em these days)
