As brought up on another thread, provisional plans have started for a meet-up on Friday 29th June, in my locale (and eruanto's) of East Croydon, for lots of drinks in a pub where we can still smoke for almost the last time, then a nice Indian at an excellent place round the corner from me (or another place to eat if preferred). East Croydon's very easy to get to - just 15 mins on the train from Victoria; trains leave every 5-10 mins from there (and back).

Ian,

This is a deeply attractive proposition. Whilst I might not sell my soul for an Indian meal, I would certainly consider going to Croydon! Cheesy

Speaking on behalf of those who would prefer to eat before (rather than after) getting pissed - Indian restaurant rather earlier in the proceedings than previously suggested ?

That would be fine - does everyone like Indian food, by the way (as I say, this place is extremely good)? If not, we could always try another place. If we can have some rough idea of how many will come along, I can book a big table there.

As already mentioned, count me in! And speaking on behalf of those who like to get pissed before, during and after eating, shall we say 8pm-ish?  Cheesy

7.30 (or even 7.00) ? (Thinking how long the meal takes + staggering back home not too late . . . )

Maybe early-comers could meet in the pub any time after 7, if Ian or someone else could undertake to be there by that time, then those travelling from slightly further afield could arrive nearer 8 and we could all move on for a curry then?

7 pm would be a good time for the pub - the pub in question is called The Glamorgan, the details for which can be found here.

Have fun everyone. I'm afraid I won't be able to make it, but then I haven't been a committed smoker for some years...
