Cheers to all and do have a beer for me.

Will do, Ollie!  Too bad we're just missing each other in our travels.  Would've been fun ...

Just on the train now ... will arrive 7:30ish, well ahead of my planned arrival, assuming the train's on time.  I'll be the one looking horribly overdressed in a bright orange tie.

I am the first to report! It was fun. Big fun! Eruanto showed, as did autoharp, tinners, Ian, Mort, a couple of friends of members, plus the charming, exhausted-but-not-showing-it Aaron. He's nice, everyone should know. A dude.. Er, guy. Hic.

the charming, exhausted-but-not-showing-it Aaron
... albeit horribly overdressed in a bright orange tie. Wink Charming nonetheless!

I've just hopped out of a taxi (capitalist mode of transport?) which had him and Ian in it, so I expect they'll post shortly. On past form this will include some distinctly dodgy pictures of a man named time, but since time was late tonight there may be other pictures from which he's absent. We'll find out soon enough!

Greetings at a late hour! Aaron and I have been back for a little while, after an extremely nice evening, during which some photos were certainly taken! Alas there seems some problem with my camera at the moment, which will not be resolved until I can get some new batteries in the morning, so you'll have to wait until then! Hope everyone else got home safely....

A great night!  It was terrific to put faces w/ names/pseudonyms, and we had some very interesting conversations and more than a few drinks.  Ian was (at least initially) very responsible in his cigarette consumption.  I wasn't.

There were indeed photos taken, but Ian can't seem to figure out how to download them to his computer (damn camera can't stop beeping about something or other), but I'm sure they'll make it up sooner or later.

I am, for the second night in a row, completely exhausted and completely unable to fall asleep.  Ah, well.  I'll sleep on the plane home tomorrow.  Perfectly rested in time for my 9pm arrival.  At which point I won't be able to sleep again.  In time for my 10am departure on Friday morning!

Ugh.

(I like my orange tie.   Tongue  But I was indeed overdressed.)

Ooh, and I forgot to mention that Tommo was there too, at least for a while. And his fans can look forward to Tommopix in due course...  Shocked

It was indeed a lovely evening, although the Cassidy tie didn`t strike me as being orange. More yellow with attitude Grin  Tommo, are you still in check denial? Roll Eyes

The Cassidy Tie was salmon pink.

I wear check occasionally, and reluctantly.

No photos please.

I ought to clarify that when I said Aaron was 'horribly overdressed in a bright orange tie' I was simply quoting the man himself. I agree with Mort: it was yellow.

And I didn't think you were seriously overdressed, Aaron. Although I did keep wondering when you were going to take it off.

Did I subject you to a video of Mexicans jumping off cliffs, btw? Apologies if so. I dredged that up from my pickled memory banks this morning, along with various pleasant but somewhat random conversations with Ian, martle, Mort, and others.

Lovely to see you all!

tinners. I have absolutely no memory of seeing Mexicans jumping off cliffs in the Euston Road, although theat`s probably not saying much Grin So relieved that my brain was not the only one feeling a tad pickled this morning Embarrassed

Interesting about the Cassidy Tie phenomenon. So far it was orange, salmon pink and yellow. Any other bids? Grin

I will make a judgement when the photos are posted....this tie- colour business clearly needs clearing up.
