A heads up for rhe second performance of the new work by a certain green resident of these boards Some of us have arranged to meet up in Brighton. Anyone else want to join in? It`s not free but it will be fun! In a purely cultured way, of course. Ahem.

It should be pointed out that this appears to be a Sunday afternoon performance, which might make things easier for many.... However, would this make it just an earlier or a more protracted meet-up?

more protracted? You can always slope away early, Ron, if we're really such bad company!

I am supposed to be elsewhere on that date, in Vienna as it happens, but I'd much prefer to be in Brighton so it's time to start wriggling I think.

I shall be with you in spirit only - I have a gig of my own in Stavropol' that day, which - due to the time difference - will begin pretty much at the same time. Good luck to all involved!

... and more difficult, nay, impossible without losing half a week's work, for others.

Oh. A rather more attractive programme than last time, too (although admittedly I didn't stay for the second half).

I'm hoping very much to be there - there's a risk I may have to be travelling that day but, like others here, I'm wriggling hard ...

At every one of these [classical] concerts in England you will find rows of weary people who are there, not because they really like classical music, but because they think they ought to like it. (Shaw, Don Juan in Hell)

Not wishing to put everybody else off, but I am reliably informed that a certain Mr Dough has managed to arrange transport from his coastal eyrie to the warmer shores of Sussex with the express intention of attending this event, and will be able to stay afterwards...

And that's plenty of notice for the rest of you to arrange something else...perhaps an r3ok meet-up in Dundee?

Ron, I've finally understood your Reply #1.
Don't know why it took me so long. But then, I don't know the difference between a trumpet and a clarinet so there's no hope for me anyway ...
