Hmmmm. Well, given the fact that I spent most of the evening sitting opposite Mort, I confess that picture is making me wonder how long I can expect my body to remain intact before I finally spontaneously combust, or simply dissolve into a pile of blackened ash

Bravo to all the photographers, and it was excellent to meet you all "in 3-D" at last!

I won't be able to post mine until tomorrow, but there's nothing embarassing, honest.
Browzing through A's efforts I thought "who's that bloke with a beard, don't remember him" then realised it was self.
I had heard eru's playing earlier in the day, and found it rather moving that it was played by someone I virtually knew. And now I have the pleasure of having met him, as well.
NOTE TO TURFAN Shall I bring my camera on 4 July?

And my embarrassed apologies, Don B, for not recognising you immediately. I was so used to thinking of you watching with stern authority from the ecclesiastical shadows that it took my brain a little while to make the link with the delightfully friendly fellow in the Rabelaisian stews of Southwark. It was a great pleasure to have met you at last.

Thanks, George, and the pleasure was mutual.
I am chuffed by the responses that image of me has elicited. Martle's "So, Mr Bond, we meet again" was particularly appreciated. The photographer himself has pointed out that I always accuse him of spending too long over taking snaps (there is a limit to how long you can say cheese) and this proves the effectiveness of his methods.
The only person off this boards we have shown it to immediately said "O yes, it is the gallery of Hagia Sophia." She is a Byzantinist (and a Quaker.)

A bad case of camera shake on the part of the photographer, I'm afraid. When I get to upload (eek, to think I would ever use such a word) mine, I will check them all for potential distress first.
