For anyone driving into London from Oxfordshire, Birmingham or other routes that lead to the M40, a handy place to ditch your car is Perivale.   Pull off at the Hoover Building (marked "Perivale/Ealing"), and you'll find a largish pay-and-display car park directly behind Perivale tube - £3 all day flat fee, 24-hour access.  If even 3 quid is too much, you can risk parking on Tesco's car park down the road - they are so dozy that they never check it.  As well as the tube, the N11 night bus runs all through the night from Trafalgar Square, directly to the car park - as I discovered when I met up with Time-Is-Now after SATYAGRAHA a fortnight ago Smiley

Thanks Reiner,

That could be a good alternative as I'm also close to the A46/M40 and the M40 can be a bit quicker, less hold-ups and less police  Wink

I'll be in London from 13-16th July, mainly for JEG's prom on 15th - a picnic before that would be fun...?

My problem is that I stuff my visits full of busy things - (Spamalot on 13th, she confessed).

I'll also be in London October 27th-30th for Brahms at RFH with JEG again on 28th & 29th

You metropolitan types are probably amazed at my forward thinking/planning, but being a fan, living right down here, and working full time, a girl has to be mega organised !

Would love to meet up with anyone who wants to!

Hello, operacat, nice to see here! Any updates on the Divine TH? Is it true that the Barbican concert has featured/will feature BT instead?

Reiner

I took your advice last Thursday when trying to get to the Barbican from Oxford.

It worked a treat, far less hassle with the traffic, especially when trying to get out of London again.
