I've just been reading about this quarter tone opera by Matyushin and Malevich (the painter). It sounds fascinating - 'alogic sound poems' (whatever they are) with a set of Cubist paintings, but the information I have is very sketchy. Has anyone ever seen a production, and does a recording exist?

This is all completely new to me, so I can't give you further details about the opera, Tantris. But I would really like to thank you for mentioning it. I think it could be a very interesting piece of music. Cool

I've found a good reference here, I think.

Some of Malevich's drawings for the costumes are beautiful - it would be nice to see the actual costumes, if any were ever produced - Cubist sculpture, for example, is arguably at least as interesting as the paintings;
