I contacted Mark and Robert (mixingit_at_mac.com), and Mark confirms that Roger Wright (R3 Controller) will be on Radio 4's 'Feedback' show this week (see below).

Please contact Feedback with questions (although I suspect that, with the recent changes to the schedule and Messageboards, Mixing It and 'New Music' in general are being purged from history).

Dear Mark and Robert,

Friday evening was a very sad occasion for me, after following your programme for 16 years (on and off as schedules dictated). I still have stacks of compilation tapes and MiniDiscs lying around that are testament to your influence on my musical tastes. The list of bands you have introduced me too is too long to mention, and their CDs/LPs make a significant contribution to my collection.

The way you have been treated by the BBC, from your post to the Message Board, is absolutely appalling. I could weep for the short-sightedness and lack of imagination.

I shed a silent tear on Friday. The 'People Like Us' session was superb and it was great to hear fragments of the past.

I wish you, and the Mixing It team, all the very best for the future and, if a MI-style show resurfaces elsewhere, you are guaranteed at least one listener...

I emailed R4's Feedback a couple of days ago to ask when Roger Wright would be appearing.
The reply I've had today is:
"Roger Wright did say he'd come in when the new schedules had "bedded in", so I'll be following up on that in a couple of weeks."

So - Mr Wright won't be on Feedback this week, or probably next.
Still - plenty of time to send those emails in...
