Regarding "Mixing It" in print, I found it strange that there was no comment on the recent MI changes in the March 2007 edition of "Wire" magazine. I'd have thought that it would have been a significant news item for the magazine.

Not sure when the March issue would have gone to bed. Probably around the second or third week of January, if the rest of the magazine industry is anything to go by. Perhaps it will turn up in the April issue.

Here is the letter as it appears in the Radio Times for this week's programmes:

 "Diluting the Mix
In his article on Radio 3's new schedule, David Gillard concludes, "Dumb it certainly isn't." But he failed to mention the really dumb decision to axe the Radio 3 gem Mixing It. There is no other show of it's kind, and it's no good saying Late Junction and Hear and Now do the same thing, because they don't.
For 16 years Mixing It was the only place to go for such an eclectic mix of music at the fringes, and Radio 3 is much the poorer for it's removal. Tim Gibson. London E10. "
