i've put the 7 'Where's The Skill In That' (new name for Mixing It) programmes we've recorded so far for Resonance FM here:

http://homepage.mac.com/mjrussell2/FileSharing3.html
Password: highbury

They're free downloads - they're quite large mp3 files but they're good quality audio. I've made 2 separate folders - 1 with playlists, the other with the programmes. Let me know if you have any problems.

I'll be posting future shows/playlists there, as well as Mixing It playlists going back to 1998.

The podcast/listen again idea we had is currently too legally challenging. So i decided to make the shows available like this.

There will be 3 more WTSiT before i go away for 3 months (working in America.) Then WTSiT will resume in September.

Please don't forget to donate Resonance FM. Important to keep it going now that R3 has become Classic FM.

Best wishes,

Mark

Mark,

Many thanks indeed: I'd missed most of these: now they'll be stowed on my smallest player ready for use when travelling (of which there's rather a deal over the next few weeks....)

A listener (Tom Wilson aka 'Freeze Puppy' with whom we've just recorded our first WTSiT session) sent me this link. It's quite a few Mixing It interviews and sessions:

I'm amazed this is still around, given the recent purge of all things interesting on R3.

Must be an oversight; get it while you can...

Thanks, Mark, for your efforts in making the WtSiT programmes available.  I've just put an order in for the Panda Bear CD on the back of the track you've played, and I'm reviewing the other programmes to get more ideas.

Thanks for the downloads Mark, much appreciated, since it seems to be rather tricky to record Resonance live online.

I must admit that I rarely listened to your programme when it was on Radio 3 but now that you've been booted out, it's much more attractive  Wink

Well, using thanks is common, but in this case it is a BIG thanks! I have listened to (and recorded) Mixing It from Radio3 when it was still available by satellite to Southeastern Europe, and I cannot even imagine the amount of great music I've enjoyed and been pointed to. The rollercoaster of the last months has reached the highest peak with your available for download shows. Please consider a subscription, a fee - something so that you can keep this up from September on. I hope there are enough of us to make it worth your while.Again, mamy thanks.

Added a couple more MI programmes to download and playlists for forthcoming WTSiTs.

We will consider the subscription download idea when i return in September.

Will upload the final two WTSiTs next week.
