Alan Johnstone is home, the little girl kidnapped in Nigeria has been returned.  Everything comes in threes they say, so hopefully Madeleine McCann will be found soon.  I don't know whether I dreamt this actually, but last night I was in bed half-listening to the news on Radio 4 when I thought I heard them say that a major breakthrough on this case was expected this week and that police were going to swoop on a number of locations.

I haven't heard anything at all today.  Was it wishful thinking on my part?  Anybody else hear it?

Oh well.  Looks as though I dreamt it then.  Sad

This has been driving me mad since it happened.  Cry

There does seem to be some sort of movement, Milly. They are questioning Robert Murat again. Could mean anything or nothing. There is such pressure for the police to find out anything that it may be just a matter of being seen to be doing something.

This is really all very silly; it's sad, but it is silly.  Goes without saying that it would be better, and probably far more effective overall, to have some more general publicity for missing children's organisations, but the media evidently has enough to keep itself busy with this story from what little I've not been able to avoid hearing of it.

(good news about the hostage situations, of course)
