There's an interesting interview with Jurowski in the Times-On-Line:

[as ever with the Times-On-Line, get there quick...  it becomes pay-to-view after a few days]

Thanks for the tip.  Having heard Jurowski talk about himself on Desert Island Discs a few weeks back, the article confirms the impression of a prodigiously gifted but rather serious musician - just an impression.  His musical achievements speak for themselves though, for example the terrific performance of Macbeth at the Proms and some first class own-label recordings witrh the LPO.  He seems destined for great things.

There are many in Russia who hold out great hope that he'll return eventually.  We badly need some decent conductors at the moment Sad

"I'm a decent conductor!", piped Ollie hopefully.

Silence fell upon the assembled company.
