I suppose that in 30 years time, someone will compose an opera about Keith Burstein.

The guy's always been a liability, hasn't he?

I guess now he'll sue me.  Sad

The protestation: "I lead a rather simple life and don't have many material possessions," doesn't quite wash from a serial complainant who buys tickets to boo other people's music.

Now he'll sue me too.  Sad

Er ... he didn't have a ticket for Netrebko in Traviata by any chance?

No apparent South American connection?

 Huh

At every one of these [classical] concerts in England you will find rows of weary people who are there, not because they really like classical music, but because they think they ought to like it. (Shaw, Don Juan in Hell)

Don't look at me (and I'll return the dubious compliment and not look at you...not that I'm likely to be around in 30 years' time, of course, for I'm no What Next? man, that's for sure...); no, I daresay that this poisoned chalice of a duty will fall - if anywhere at all - to Jonathan Nyman or Michael Dove or someone...

I rather like the reference to the "House of Lord" in Section 29 of the judgement; was that supposed to be optimism, prescience or just a minor distraction from the matter in hand, I cannot be bothered to wonder? The persistent references to "Sir Harrison Birtwhistle" are quiter another matter, however and I do wonder if the real Harry might ever have considered taking some kind of legal action for misrepresentation...
