The cheap power of popular music...BBC news has just had a collage of scenes from last night played out to Bruce Springsteen singing The Rising and I suddenly had unbidden tears in my eyes. ( well, it's an improvement on Things Can Only Get Better ! Does that indicate a fundamental difference of outlook between the US and the UK I wonder ? )
