eject all USAF bases from the UK

Apparently they experienced certain difficulties with that,  so as a placebo they ejected Russian diplomats instead  Angry

Meantime Fat Gordy and his friend Mr Millipede have been at pains to chant obeisances to our friends across the Pond at every moment that a microphone is placed in front of them.

I've even had radio stations here calling me, asking me if I could explain "Why, why, why is your Government so opposed to us?", but since replies would be restricted to "Haven't the faintest" or adverse subjective comment on the mental faculties of the Men From The Ministry.

Rejections for British Visas are at a record high.  My friend's 12-year-old daughter was rejected for a visa to attend a Summer School in stagecraft, singing & dancing in musicals, makeup etc (London is regarded as the "Number One" place for musicals).  The reason given was "inability to demonstrate ability to support herself financially during her stay", despite a fax from the School confirming that her flight ticket, tuition, accommodation and board were prepaid.  Grown men in $2000 suits were seen emerging from the Visa Department and kicking the walls of the building in frustration.  Sad

But Fat Gordy knows best.

But Fat Gordy knows best.
And, for all that his first few weeks in "office" have not gone as smoothly as he might have liked, he also has precious little opposition right now, so he must be feeling quite pleasantly complacent, I imagine.

Anyway, it's disrespectful to call him "Fat Gordy"; he's "President Brown" to you and the rest of us...

Best,

Alistair
