Ken Campbell, an astute and brilliant man and a true original died yesterday. The place will be that much duller and more mundane without him to point out just how bizarre and barkingly odd we all are. Thanks for a great deal over the years, Ken.

There's an obituary from Michael Coveney here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/stage/2008/sep/01/obituary.ken.campbell?gusrc=rss&feed=global

I heard Ken Campbell on The Verb some months back with one of his monologues - one of the wittiest and touching things i had heard for ages.  I was gripped.

Sad news indeed - RIP Ken Campbell

Oh, alas Sad   Not only an outstanding performer, but an innovator and creator of great work too.

I never cared much for his stuff, but it's sad to see him go.

I really am sad to hear this news.      I often stopped to chat with him when he was stacking a van on Haverstock Hill before disappearing on one of his protracted stints of one-night stands.  Quite an original talent.
